WeTravel: $92 Million Series C Raised To Transform Multi-Day Travel Industry

By Amit Chowdhry • Sep 29, 2025

WeTravel, a pioneering operating system poised to transform the landscape for businesses specializing in multi-day travel experiences, has announced the completion of its Series C funding round, raising an impressive $92 million. The funding was led by Sapphire Ventures, with strategic support from Left Lane Capital, Base10, Cross Creek, and a host of experienced angel investors. The influx of capital has effectively tripled WeTravel’s valuation, marking a milestone in its growth trajectory and firmly establishing its status as the premier platform for tour operators and travel businesses globally.

Founded in 2014, WeTravel has consistently exemplified innovation and resilience in the travel technology sector. Its robust platform supports thousands of operators who offer a rich array of custom and pre-planned travel experiences ranging from serene yoga retreats and thrilling safaris to educational student tours and spiritual pilgrimages. By simplifying complex operational tasks, WeTravel provides a comprehensive toolset that enables travel companies to manage bookings—both online and offline—with ease. It also streamlines pre- and post-trip procedures, facilitates global payments at advantageous local rates, and allows instant payments to suppliers worldwide without incurring processing fees.

This new round of investment marks a significant milestone for the numerous operators who rely on WeTravel’s technology to run their businesses efficiently. The funding will primarily be used to enhance further and expand the platform, making it even more intuitive and comprehensive. In particular, WeTravel aims to automate complex workflows typical of multi-day travel arrangements. Managing payments, reconciling bookings, and coordinating with various partners require meticulous oversight—and these processes are often time-consuming and prone to errors. WeTravel’s platform is designed to address these challenges by automating and systematizing key operations, empowering operators to focus more on enriching the travel experience rather than administrative burdens.

Looking ahead, WeTravel has outlined a strategic plan to capitalize on this injection of capital by focusing on several key initiatives. A significant portion will be allocated toward developing advanced artificial intelligence (AI) driven tools. For instance, the company’s innovative Itinerary Builder will soon enable users to craft detailed, interactive itineraries from simple PDFs with a single prompt, drastically reducing planning time and enabling swift customizations. Additional enhancements include expanding agentic tools that save travel businesses valuable time and reduce errors—these will assist with reviewing and paying invoices, gathering and updating traveler information, and automating marketing efforts.

WeTravel plans to bolster its extensive Business-to-Business (B2B) network. This involves scaling its Partner Network, which already stands as the largest B2B multi-day travel network, to improve how travel businesses discover, coordinate, and transact with vendors and suppliers. The expansion will facilitate smoother payment and invoicing processes, creating a more seamless experience for all stakeholders.

In addition to technological advancement, WeTravel plans to expand its global footprint by establishing new offices in strategic locations, including Chicago, Amsterdam, Sydney, and Baku. This move aims better to serve its rapidly growing customer base across different regions and ensure localized support and innovation.

To date, WeTravel has supported thousands of operators across more than 206 countries, helping facilitate over 1.6 million trips for travelers worldwide. Its recent introduction of features like the integrated Itinerary Builder and Supplier Transfers underscores its commitment to building a comprehensive operating system tailored to the unique needs of the multi-day travel industry.

With its recent funding success and ongoing innovations, WeTravel is poised to lead the way in creating more efficient, automated, and user-friendly solutions that empower travel operators and enhance the traveler experience around the globe.

“This is not capital for us, it’s capital for the operators who trust us and use our platform from morning to night. When we remove friction from their businesses, we open the door to more transformative experiences for millions of travelers. We simply want to take away the work they don’t want to do, and shouldn’t need to do, and give that time back to them to build more experiences – and grow their business.”

WeTravel CEO Ted Clements

“WeTravel has remained on the forefront of key developments in the industry over the years. We started as a single operator on the platform and have since grown to operate 10 global brands, using WeTravel for each of them. Standout features that we benefit from include Supplier Transfers, which helps us onboard our ground partners for quick and easy payments, and its seamless API integration to assist us in using all its features within our travel planning ecosystem.”
