Whatfix has appointed Co-Founder Vara Kumar as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, following the sudden passing of Co-Founder and CEO Khadim Batti on September 1, 2026.
Kumar co-founded Whatfix with Batti in 2014 and has served as a principal architect of the company’s product and research strategy as the business expanded from an early-stage startup into a global enterprise digital adoption platform.
As CEO, Kumar will lead Whatfix’s next phase of growth while working with its executive leadership team and board to maintain continuity across the company’s global operations, customers, technology partners and workforce.
Whatfix provides an AI-native Digital Adoption Platform designed to help employees and other enterprise users adopt and use software more effectively in their existing workflows.
Its technology combines digital adoption, analytics, simulation training and intelligent agents. Using AI and its ScreenSense technology, Whatfix can understand user context and intent to provide real-time assistance, automate support, identify areas of friction and improve business processes.
The platform is used by approximately 600 enterprises worldwide, including more than 80 Fortune 500 companies, with customers including Shell, Schneider Electric, Mercedes-Benz, Heineken and UPS Supply Chain Solutions.
