Whispp, a deep technology company focused on transforming speech through artificial intelligence, announced it has raised €5 million in follow-on funding to accelerate the development and global deployment of its real-time, on-device Voice Reconstruction AI technology.
The investment round was led by LUMO Labs, with participation from strategic angel investors and support from the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator. The funding will help Whispp expand its technology across more devices, platforms, and everyday communication use cases.
Unlike traditional speech enhancement solutions that primarily reduce background noise or improve audio quality, Whispp’s Voice Reconstruction AI is designed to reconstruct speech characteristics that have been diminished or lost. Running entirely on-device, the technology enables whispered speech to be converted into a clear, natural-sounding voice in real time without relying on cloud processing, providing greater privacy and lower latency.
The new capital will support several strategic initiatives, including advancing Whispp’s AI models, developing new products, expanding its intellectual property portfolio, strengthening partnerships with device manufacturers and semiconductor companies, and growing its team as it prepares for broader global deployment.
Whispp was originally founded with the mission of helping people who have lost their voice due to illness and individuals who stutter severely. While that mission remains central to the company’s long-term vision, the underlying technology is now being applied to a wider range of communication scenarios, enabling more private, discreet, and natural digital conversations across consumer and enterprise applications.
By expanding the reach of its Voice Reconstruction AI platform, Whispp aims to establish a new category of on-device speech technology that combines accessibility, privacy, and real-time performance.
