White Cap, a leading North American distributor of specialty construction supplies and safety products for professional contractors, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the business of Gierke Robinson Company, a distributor of concrete accessories, tools, equipment rentals and repair services serving concrete, paving and general contractors across Eastern Iowa, Western Illinois and Southwest Wisconsin. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 1919, Gierke Robinson brings more than a century of expertise in construction equipment to the transaction and operates four locations in Iowa—Davenport, Bettendorf, Dubuque and Waterloo. The acquisition is a strategic addition that extends White Cap’s footprint and product offering in the Midwest, deepening its coverage in a region where demand from non-residential, infrastructure and residential end markets continues to grow. White Cap currently operates approximately 575 branches across North America, employs more than 12,000 people and serves approximately 200,000 customers.
