White & Case announced the appointment of Anirudh Bansal as a partner in its New York office, expanding the firm’s Global Litigation Practice and strengthening its capabilities in complex litigation, white collar defense, and high-stakes regulatory matters.
Bansal is a leading litigator and former federal prosecutor for the Southern District of New York. He advises global financial institutions, multinational corporations, boards, and executives in civil and commercial disputes, as well as criminal and regulatory investigations involving the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and other enforcement agencies. He joins White & Case from Cahill, where he served as Chair of the firm’s White Collar Defense & Investigations Practice Group.
Before entering private practice, Bansal served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York, where he was Co-Chief of the Complex Frauds Unit and held leadership roles within the Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force and the International Narcotics Trafficking Unit. During his tenure, he conducted 18 criminal trials and argued numerous appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit involving securities fraud, money laundering, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations, and other complex financial crimes.
A Chambers USA Band 1-ranked attorney, Bansal’s arrival further advances the growth of White & Case’s Global Litigation Practice. The firm has recently expanded the practice with several lateral hires, including Global Co-Head of Litigation Jonathan Polkes and partners Stacy Nettleton, Adam Banks, Jeffrey Steinfeld, T. Markus Funk, and Kevin Spencer.
White & Case said the addition reflects its continued investment in top disputes talent to help clients navigate increasingly sophisticated litigation, enforcement, and regulatory risks.
