White & Case announced it has expanded its global Mergers & Acquisitions practice, Global Real Estate Industry Group, and Global Private Capital Industry Group with the addition of Antoine Mercier, Sarah Fleury, and Romain Guénin as partners in Paris, strengthening the firm’s real estate transactional and financing capabilities in France with a particular focus on data centers and other operational asset classes.
The three partners join from DLA Piper and collectively bring decades of experience advising on complex, cross-border real estate investments, corporate real estate M&A, and structured financings. White & Case said the hires align with continued client demand for integrated advice across acquisitions, development, joint ventures, asset management, and debt solutions as property strategies evolve across sectors and geographies.
Mercier advises on the full real estate investment life cycle, including deal structuring, partnership agreements, acquisitions, construction and development, asset management, and disposals. His work spans operational asset classes such as hotels, tourism and leisure, logistics, retail, senior living, student accommodation, self-storage, and data centers, and he also brings experience advising on ESG considerations tied to renewable energy facilities and infrastructure.
Fleury focuses on real estate M&A for multinational clients on domestic and cross-border transactions, including the structuring and buying and selling of portfolios and companies holding real estate assets, as well as joint ventures across asset classes, including hospitality and leisure, offices, logistics, serviced residences, senior housing, student housing, clinics, life sciences, and data centers. She also advises on commercial leases, asset management, and construction-related issues, and serves as a Governing Trustee of the Urban Land Institute.
Guénin focuses on real estate finance and structured finance, advising lenders and borrowers on financings tied to acquisitions and development across sectors, including logistics, offices, hospitality, serviced residences, sports infrastructure, and self-storage. His experience also includes loan restructurings and special servicing matters, including distressed portfolio mortgage financings.
White & Case said the hires enhance the Paris team’s ability to support developers, owners, investors, corporates and financing sources on sophisticated real estate matters in France and internationally.
