White & Case announced that Dario de Martino has joined the firm as a partner in New York, expanding its Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice and Global Financial Institutions Industry Group.
De Martino will serve as Co-Head of the firm’s US Corporate Technology M&A Group alongside Silicon Valley-based partner Tali Sealman. His arrival further enhances White & Case’s capabilities in cross-border transactions involving technology, financial services, and emerging digital assets.
De Martino brings extensive experience advising multinational technology, financial services, and life sciences companies on public and private mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, joint ventures, and strategic transactions. He is particularly recognized for his work with Japanese corporations pursuing transactions in the United States.
In addition to his M&A experience, De Martino has developed expertise in digital assets and blockchain-related technologies. He is ranked by Chambers in FinTech Legal and joins White & Case from A&O Shearman, where he served as a partner and Co-Chair of the firm’s Global Fintech and Blockchain Group.
White & Case said his strong relationships with Japanese clients and his ability to bridge markets and disciplines will further integrate the firm’s Financial Institutions Group across New York and London and support increasingly complex cross-border transactions.
The appointment comes amid continued expansion of White & Case’s M&A practice. Over the past year, the firm has added more than 25 lateral partners globally. Recent additions in the United States include partners Jalpit Amin, Andrea Basham, Jennifer Cheng, Paul Tiger, Stephen Fraidin, and Airi Hammalov in New York; Gabriel Salinas, Josh Teahen, Ian Goldberg, and Alex Miron in Houston; Nicole Daley in Boston; and Sue Nieto in Washington, D.C.
