White & Case announced the expansion of its Global Project Development and Finance Practice and Global Energy Industry Group with the appointment of George Fatula as a partner in Washington, DC. The firm stated that Fatula will support clients engaged in significant energy and infrastructure matters, particularly those involving complex regulatory considerations.
Fatula brings extensive experience advising developers, operators, and investors on regulatory issues connected to pipeline, storage, export, and other energy infrastructure assets. His background includes work on energy transition initiatives involving carbon capture, transportation, and sequestration projects. He also regularly guides industry participants on compliance matters related to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
The addition of Fatula follows the firm’s continued growth in its energy capabilities. In recent months, White & Case expanded its Project Development and Finance bench with the arrivals of John Donaleski in New York, Patrick Johnson in Houston, and Serra Tar in London. The firm also welcomed M&A and Sustainability & Responsible Business partner Peter Trimarchi in New York, along with M&A partners Ian Goldberg, Alex Miron, and Joshua Teahen in Houston. The firm noted that these collective hires strengthen its ability to advise clients across the entire energy value chain.
