White & Case has added Nick Rainsford as a partner in London, expanding its Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice and strengthening its infrastructure and private capital capabilities.
Rainsford joins from Baker McKenzie, where he was a partner, and brings more than 20 years of experience advising clients on infrastructure and energy transactions.
His practice includes advising infrastructure funds, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and corporations on infrastructure and energy M&A transactions across EMEA.
Rainsford also advises family offices, founders, sovereign wealth funds and other sources of private capital on investment solutions.
His infrastructure experience spans assets including transportation, fiber, waste-to-energy, renewable energy and district heating.
White & Case said infrastructure and private capital remain strategic growth priorities for the firm.
The firm’s M&A practice has added more than 25 lateral partners globally over the past year, including hires in New York, London, Paris and Mexico City.
