White & Case has added Noah Carr and Gordon Palmquist as partners in Tokyo, further expanding its Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice and cross-border private capital capabilities in Japan.
Carr and Palmquist join White & Case from Freshfields, where both were partners, and each brings more than 15 years of experience in Tokyo.
Carr advises Japanese and international strategic and financial investors on public and private acquisitions, carve-outs, growth equity investments, joint ventures and strategic alliances.
Palmquist advises Japanese corporate groups, financial institutions, energy companies and trading companies on outbound acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs and complex infrastructure platforms.
White & Case said their addition increases the depth of its cross-border M&A capabilities in Japan while supporting the firm’s broader effort to build an integrated private capital platform across key global markets.
The hires are part of a wider expansion of White & Case’s M&A practice, which has added more than 25 lateral partners globally over the past year.
Other recent additions have joined the firm in New York, Houston, London, Paris and Mexico City.
