White & Case Adds Sarah Remmer Long As New York Partner To Expand M&A Executive Compensation Practice

White & Case has added Sarah Remmer Long as a partner in New York as the global law firm continues expanding its Mergers & Acquisitions and Employment, Compensation & Benefits practices.

Long joins White & Case from Sullivan & Cromwell, where she served as special counsel.

Her practice focuses on executive compensation matters arising from mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions.

Long advises public and private companies as well as senior executives on compensation plans and arrangements, governance considerations and disclosure requirements under federal securities laws and stock-exchange regulations.

That expertise can become particularly important in complex M&A transactions, where companies must coordinate tax, securities law, compensation structures, governance requirements and executive retention considerations.

White & Case said Long’s arrival further integrates its compensation capabilities with its transactional practice as the firm continues investing heavily in M&A talent.

More than 30 lateral partners have joined White & Case’s M&A Practice globally during the past year.

Recent U.S. additions include multiple partners in New York, Houston, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Boston.

Long’s appointment expands White & Case’s ability to support compensation issues throughout the lifecycle of corporate and private equity transactions.
