Global law firm White & Case announced the expansion of its Global Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Practice with the addition of Alberto Sepúlveda as a partner.
Sepúlveda was previously the General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Head of Legal and Corporate Security at Wal-Mart de Mexico, SAB de CV, the publicly listed Mexican subsidiary of Walmart Inc., the world’s largest retailer. He rejoins the firm’s Mexico City office, where he was a partner from 1995 to 2013.
While working at Walmart de Mexico, Sepúlveda guided the company through high-profile legal and regulatory issues, including the sale of its restaurant, apparel, and banking operations, as well as significant investments in its logistics and omnichannel operations. He brings strong experience in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, debt finance, and financial regulatory matters, which he developed throughout his career advising on complex, cross-border transactions.
