White & Case announced that Gabriel Salinas has joined the firm as a partner in Houston, expanding its Global Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Practice and Global Energy Industry Group.
Salinas advises private equity sponsors, funds, sovereigns, multinational corporations and financial institutions on international and domestic mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures. His work focuses heavily on the energy and infrastructure sectors, including investments related to low carbon technologies, carbon capture and storage (CCS), clean hydrogen, clean ammonia and LNG projects.
The move strengthens White & Case’s cross-border capabilities, particularly for transactions involving Latin America and the United States. The firm said its Houston office serves as an important hub for energy and infrastructure investment flows between the two regions.
Salinas joined White & Case from another international law firm where he led its Mexico Practice, as well as its New Energies Task Force and Data Center Initiative.
White & Case said its Corporate Practice has been expanding significantly, with more than 35 lateral partners joining over the past year across offices including New York, London, Houston, Paris, Mexico City and Boston.
