White & Case: Jeffrey Steinfeld Joins As Partner In Los Angeles

White & Case announced that Jeffrey Steinfeld has joined the firm as a partner in its Los Angeles office, strengthening the firm’s global litigation practice and expanding its securities litigation capabilities in the United States.

Steinfeld is a first-chair trial and appellate lawyer and nationally recognized securities litigator. He represents companies, financial institutions and senior executives in high-stakes securities, corporate governance and white-collar matters. His experience includes serving as lead counsel in civil, criminal and government enforcement proceedings across the United States, including jury and bench trials and appeals before the Delaware Supreme Court, the California Supreme Court and the US Courts of Appeals, as well as litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery.

He also advises issuers, boards, audit committees and senior executives on matters involving parallel civil litigation, regulatory scrutiny and reputational risk tied to public company disclosures, business combinations, digital asset transactions and financial reporting. His client base spans technology and social media companies, cryptocurrency and digital assets firms, fintech businesses, private equity and investment funds, commercial and investment banks, broker-dealers and special purpose acquisition companies.

Steinfeld joins White & Case from another international law firm where he was also a partner.

The hire is part of White & Case’s continued expansion of its disputes platform. Recent additions include Elizabeth Holland, head of the firm’s global life sciences IP litigation practice, and life sciences partner Daniel Margolis, both based in New York; Nicholas Mitrokostas, co-head of the global life sciences and healthcare industry group in Boston; life sciences partner William James in Washington, DC; litigation partner T.
