White & Case announced it has expanded its Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice and Global Real Estate Industry Group with the addition of Ian Bevan as a partner in Abu Dhabi.

Bevan joins from A&O Shearman, where he served as partner and head of Middle East real estate and hospitality. White & Case said he brings nearly 25 years of experience advising on commercial real estate matters across the region, including cross-border real estate funds, property financings, joint ventures, and major development projects in the Middle East. His work also spans hotel management and franchise arrangements, sales and acquisitions, including sale-and-leaseback and opco/propco structures, as well as development transactions and M&A in the real estate and hospitality sectors.

White & Case said Bevan’s appointment strengthens its ability to support cross-border mandates and provide specialist advice to clients in the UAE and the wider Middle East. The firm also pointed to recent matters handled by its global real estate group, including advising Cathexis Holdings on the sale of Yondr Group and Netrality Data Centres on a US$600 million financing.
