White & Case announced that Sue Nieto has joined the firm as a partner in its Global Mergers & Acquisitions practice, continuing its expansion of dealmaking capabilities in the United States.
Nieto joins from Reed Smith, where she was a partner, and brings experience advising on mergers and acquisitions involving public and private companies, private equity funds, special purpose acquisition companies, and joint ventures across multiple sectors. Her background also includes serving as in-house counsel at a quantitative trading firm.
Her addition comes as White & Case continues to invest in its global M&A platform amid increasing activity in both sponsor-led and strategic transactions. The firm has added more than 25 lateral partners globally over the past year, including several recent hires across key US markets such as New York, Houston, and Boston.
The firm aims to further strengthen its ability to support clients navigating complex cross-border transactions by deepening its bench of experienced M&A advisors and enhancing collaboration across regions and practice areas.
