White Star Capital has held the final close of Fund IV at $250 million, giving the global venture capital firm additional capital to back technology companies at the Series A and Series B stages.

Together with its inaugural North American Seed Fund and several new special-purpose vehicles, White Star has raised more than $350 million in fresh capital to invest in companies from Seed through Series B.

Fund IV continues White Star’s core strategy of investing in founders with the potential to build internationally scalable businesses. The firm operates across New York, London, Montreal, Toronto, Paris, and Milan while expanding its presence in Berlin, the Middle East, and Asia.

White Star expects emerging AI technologies to create opportunities across several of its major markets. Areas of interest include foundational AI models, specialized vertical AI applications, and physical AI technologies addressing real-world business problems.

The fund has already led investments in companies including Sequen, Veesion, OatFi, AMI Labs, Tetrix, and Trayd.

White Star has grown from five employees across New York, Montreal, and London in 2014 to more than 50 people across eight offices. The firm has generated 22 exits from a portfolio of more than 100 companies, including TheGuarantors’ acquisition by Warburg Pincus, Sun Life’s acquisition of Dialogue Health Technologies, and Nestlé’s acquisition of Freshly.

The firm’s broader portfolio includes companies such as Butternut Box, Vention, Petfolk, Numan Health, FINN, Flare, Ledn, and Spiko.

With Fund IV, White Star plans to continue providing portfolio companies with capital alongside assistance around product strategy, hiring, go-to-market development, international expansion, and access to its network of operators, founders, and advisors.
