WhiteGlove Care is a company that handles all aspects of end-to-end care coordination from digitizing records to scheduling appointments with vetted providers to managing chronic conditions. And it allows family members to support care from anywhere in the world. Pulse 2.0 interviewed WhiteGlove Care Anand Prakash to learn more about the company.
Anand Prakash’s Background
What is Anand Prakash’s background? Prakash said:
“For the past 20 years, I’ve made it my mission to address India’s healthcare crisis by leveraging my technology and management expertise. As the founder and CEO of WhiteGlove, I’ve drawn on decades of experience building and scaling platforms that solve complex challenges across international markets. My career includes founding roles at successful startups like GupShup, India’s largest enterprise messaging platform, where I was the technical co-founder, and DropTalk, which I sold to Dropbox, helping to transform customer communication. Additionally, at LinkedIn, I scaled their mobile infrastructure to reach millions of users. My work in AI, messaging, and cloud technologies has prepared me to tackle the unique challenges of healthcare for families abroad.”
Formation Of WhiteGlove Care
How did the idea for the company come together? Prakash shared:
“The idea for WhiteGlove was driven by a long-standing dream to improve care for families abroad. I’ve had to travel 8,000 miles just to ensure my parents in India received proper care, and my story isn’t unique—this is a challenge faced by many people who move away to pursue education and careers in other countries. We built WhiteGlove to be more than a navigation tool for finding a doctor. We aim to ensure families have a trusted partner in managing their loved one’s health journey. We oversee all aspects of care, from routine checkups to helping them find the right preventative tests to ensure they are following their healthcare plan.”
Core Products
What are the company’s core products and features? Prakash explained:
“WhiteGlove service includes the following services:
– 24/7 telehealth
– Health history and healthcare roadmap
– Specialist appointments and quality control
– Digital health and medication record management, with access available to family members.
WhiteGlove pairs members with a dedicated doctor and supporting team who takes charge of their long-term care, managing ongoing health plans and coordinating visits with local specialists when needed. These providers ensure all treatments are reviewed for quality and accuracy, while offering 24/7 telehealth access.
Additionally, WhiteGlove uses AI to digitize patient health histories and offers services such as appointment management, medication reminders, and family access to health information, making cross-border healthcare easier and more transparent.”
Funding
When asking Prakash about the company’s funding details, he revealed:
“We are currently bootstrapped, focusing on building our platform and growing our user base.”
Total Addressable Market
What total addressable market (TAM) size is the company pursuing? Prakash assessed:
“WhiteGlove is targeting the total addressable market (TAM) of Indian expatriates in the U.S. who are seeking healthcare services for their aging family members in India. This demographic represents a great opportunity, as they are motivated to provide quality care for their loved ones with the support of WhiteGlove, which helps them navigate the challenges of healthcare coordination from abroad. As of 2024, there are over 5.4 million Indians living in the U.S., and this number is projected to increase. By focusing on this customer base, WhiteGlove can tap into the broader healthcare industry in India, which reached over $370 billion in 2022 and is expected to reach over $610 billion by 2026. As India’s GDP continues to rise, healthcare spending is expected to grow, driven by an increasing focus on quality of life and access to improved healthcare services.”
Differentiation From The Competition
What differentiates the company from its competition? Prakash affirmed:
“WhiteGlove stands out by combining high-touch concierge services with long-term, personalized care. Unlike other platforms that use a gig economy model, we focus on building lasting, meaningful relationships between families and dedicated primary care doctors. We’re not just reacting to immediate needs—we’re providing peace of mind through preventative care, tailored health plans, and 24/7 access to telehealth support. Our approach ensures that families receive comprehensive, ongoing care rather than just addressing short-term concerns.”
Future Company Goals
What are some of the company’s future company goals? Prakash pointed out:
“Our future plans include expanding our network of healthcare providers, integrating advanced AI features, and further exploring opportunities in India as well as other countries with similar healthcare challenges. We aim to develop partnerships with major healthcare institutions and continuously improve our platform based on user feedback.”
Additional Thoughts
Any other topics you would like to discuss? Prakash concluded:
“I’d like to emphasize that WhiteGlove is not just about navigating the healthcare system in India; we’re also focused on improving it. Our platform will bring a new level of preventative care and personalized healthcare management, setting a standard for quality and efficiency in cross-border healthcare.”
