Accenture recently announced that it has acquired Comtech Group and ConcentricLife. These are the details of the deals.
Comtech Group Deal
Comtech Group is a consulting and program management company for infrastructure projects in Canada and the United States. The terms of this deal were not disclosed.
Comtech Group was launched in 1994 and is headquartered in Toronto. The company’s clients are transportation, infrastructure, industrial manufacturing, building, and power and utility companies in the public and private sectors. And Comtech Group helps them deliver large, long-term infrastructure projects, such as urban transportation, automotive manufacturing processes, renewable and nuclear power, and building rehabilitation. The firm’s approximate 300 people bring a mix of consulting and project management expertise in construction management, facility and manufacturing engineering, and process control automation. Comtech Group has offices in Canada and the United States.
This deal follows Accenture’s recent acquisition of Anser Advisory, a leading advisory and management company for infrastructure projects in the United States, which has increased Accenture’s capital projects capabilities in North America.
By bringing in Comtech Group, Accenture is now expanding its capital projects capabilities in Canada. And these capabilities include project structuring, estimating and planning; digitization; monitoring the work being done; and assisting clients in managing and executing all phases of projects. And Accenture also helps clients develop smarter, more efficient infrastructure for energy transition, transportation and production from the outset. Like Anser Advisory, Comtech Group joins Accenture’s digital engineering and manufacturing service Industry X.
Other acquisitions Accenture has made to support its clients’ infrastructure projects include Eclipse Automation, a provider of customized manufacturing automation and robotics solutions headquartered in Cambridge, Canada; Advoco, a US-based asset management services provider; ATI Solutions Group, an Australian consulting service provider to the mining, energy and rail industries; and umlaut, a global engineering services provider, headquartered in Germany.
Accenture also agreed to acquire ConcentricLife, a leading healthcare marketing agency with expertise in helping Life Sciences brands build an optimal brand experience at any stage of the health journey. This agreement to acquire ConcentricLife – which is a subsidiary of Stagwell – reinforces Accenture Song’s continued investment in creating end-to-end solutions for its Life Sciences clients through relevant communications and experiences attuned to the ever-evolving lives of today’s patients and healthcare professionals.
Launched in 2002, ConcentricLife is recognized as one of the MM+M Agency 100, the industry’s definitive guide to the top agencies in the health landscape. Through creative marketing services and strategic consulting services vital to the growth and relevance of pharmaceutical, biopharma, and medical technology device brands, Accenture Song and ConcentricLife have an aligned vision of the opportunity ahead in professional, patient, and consumer health communications given the global healthcare market is expected to grow to US$665 billion by 2028 (Verified Market Research).

And each of ConcentricLife’s practices revolves around a core of experts in marketing practices, including experience design, engagement, commercial strategy, production, medical communications, and social. Headquartered in New York, ConcentricLife’s 270+ employees will join Accenture Song in other markets, including Atlanta, Chicago, Ft. Lauderdale, San Diego, and London.
ConcentricLife will be the latest in a series of acquisitions that Accenture Song has made to bolster its ability to help clients grow, innovate, and sustain relevance, including Fiftyfive5, The Stable, and Romp.
The completion of the acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including receipt of regulatory clearance.
