Amplix announced its acquisition of CORE Communications, a technology advisory and expense management firm. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Amplix is a portfolio company of Gemspring Capital and a national provider of technology advisory services, including strategy, consulting, implementation, and managed services.
The acquisition represents Amplix’s fourteenth acquisition since forming the platform in 2022.
CORE Communications was founded in 1996 and is headquartered in Suffield, Connecticut.
The company helps organizations manage and optimize technology spending.
CORE works with clients to understand their existing infrastructure, business requirements, and operational goals before identifying cost-effective solutions designed to deliver measurable savings and improved business outcomes.
The company has experience across markets including real estate and property management, senior living and care facilities, and non-profit organizations.
Amplix said CORE’s ongoing optimization model complements its prior investments in technology expense management.
The acquisition also strengthens Amplix’s ability to deliver data-driven advisory services across complex IT and communications environments.
Following the acquisition, CORE Communications’ team will join Amplix.
Operations will continue under the Amplix brand.
Amplix provides technology advisory services to more than 3,500 clients nationwide.
The company’s services cover AI, cloud, infrastructure, security, unified communications, mobility, and business applications.
Amplix is headquartered in Norwood, Massachusetts, and has more than 275 employees across more than 20 states and Canada.
Gemspring Capital is a Westport, Connecticut-based private equity firm with $5.1 billion of capital under management.
