Apollo Intelligence (a leading provider of real-time data and insights to the healthcare and life science industries) announced it has acquired GlocalMind (a global technology-driven healthcare market research services and panel company). Launched in 2010, with teams in the US, Europe, and India, GlocalMind provides access to healthcare professionals (HCPs) and key opinion leaders (KOLs) in Europe and Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions, featuring a research operating center of excellence in India.
By integrating GlocalMind’s real-time panel sourcing network and recruiting capabilities into its platform, Apollo expands its panel access to global HCPs and KOLs to deliver multi-country healthcare market research with industry-leading speed-to-insights and high-quality data. And the acquisition of GlocalMind marks Apollo’s third move since 2019 to enhance its life science market insights offering, setting it apart in the industry. Through a steadfast dedication to advancing healthcare and life sciences market research through technology and data, Apollo reaffirms its commitment to accelerating health innovation for a better life.
GlocalMind offers access to 1.5 million HCPs in more than 50 countries across 80+ physician specialties, as well as KOLs, payers, nurses, dentists, veterinarians, ophthalmologists, opticians, and pharmacists in Europe, APAC, the US, and Canada – key stakeholders who are sourced through directed research efforts using double opt-in, permission-based techniques.
The company also offers comprehensive programming, reporting, and project management support nearly around the clock, heavily supported via an India-based research operations team. Utilizing high-quality global panels, advanced systems/tools, customizable recruitment capabilities, and a deep understanding of local markets, GlocalMind effectively addresses qualitative and quantitative market research requirements for life science clients globally.
Sandeep Sankhla, GlocalMind’s founder, and Vrinda Deval, principal, will continue leadership positions at GlocalMind following the acquisition, and will join the Apollo leadership team. And the GlocalMind brand will be retained for the foreseeable future. GlocalMind’s India research operations team will provide an important component of Apollo’s global operations, affording more access and value-added services for all Apollo clients.
Apollo launched in 2019 with the acquisition of InCrowd – a pioneer of real-time and automated insights for the life sciences followed in 2020 by the acquisition of Survey Healthcare Global, a global market leader in first-party healthcare data collection and custom survey solutions. And in integrating GlocalMind’s unique culture of innovation and presence in key geographies, Apollo has now enlarged its portfolio to better serve the needs of the healthcare and life science community.
Apollo was assisted in this transaction by Goodwin Procter, LLP, as legal advisor to Apollo, and Alvarez & Marsal, acting as tax advisor.
