CAI Software announced that it has acquired PlanetTogether, a provider of Advanced Planning and Scheduling software for process and discrete manufacturers. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
CAI is a global provider of industry-specific software solutions for manufacturing organizations. The acquisition strengthens CAI’s manufacturing software portfolio by adding advanced production scheduling, capacity planning, and constraint-based optimization capabilities.
PlanetTogether joins CAI’s manufacturing software portfolio, which spans ERP, MES, and shop-floor execution. Its APS platform helps manufacturers reduce replanning time, optimize multi-plant capacity, and run what-if scenarios before making changes on the shop floor.
PlanetTogether’s software is used by manufacturers across food and beverage, consumer packaged goods, chemicals, and industrial markets. The platform includes constraint-based scheduling, what-if simulation, and ERP integration capabilities for multi-plant and multi-resource production environments.
The business has been rebranded as CAI PlanetTogether and will continue to be sold and supported as a standalone product.
CAI said it will continue investing in PlanetTogether’s product roadmap, including AI, advanced analytics, and cloud development. These efforts will be supported by CAI’s R&D center of excellence.

The company operates across more than 10 countries and focuses on digital work execution platforms and manufacturing software that improve visibility, compliance, and decision-making.
