FishPal announced that it has acquired Clubmate, a UK-based management platform for recreational angling clubs and fisheries. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition expands FishPal’s digital angling platform and adds to its existing ownership of Elveguiden, a Scandinavian market leader.
The combined businesses will operate under the FishPal brand, positioning the company as a leading digital angling platform across Europe.
Clubmate provides software for angling clubs, fisheries, and governing bodies to manage memberships, permits, bookings, communications, and administration.
The platform supports 380 UK angling clubs, fisheries, and governing bodies through a modern digital system that simplifies operations for organizations and improves access for anglers.
FishPal said Clubmate will continue to operate and support its existing customers as part of the larger group. The business is also expected to benefit from increased investment, product development resources, and collaboration opportunities across FishPal’s broader platform.
FishPal’s platform receives 15 million website visits annually, processes more than 80,000 rod bookings, and has more than 100,000 registered customers.
The company provides angling opportunities across the UK, Ireland, and Norway, along with news and information for the angling community.
By combining FishPal, Clubmate, and Elveguiden, the company plans to offer anglers, fisheries, clubs, and river managers a broader suite of digital tools and services.
The combined platform is designed to support memberships, permits, bookings, fishery management, administration, participation, conservation, and sustainable growth across recreational angling.
FishPal said the deal will also give anglers more fishing choices in one place than ever before.
FishPal is part of SpeedyBooker, a group that provides management tools and booking channels for specialist accommodation and activity providers. SpeedyBooker operates in 15 countries and includes booking channels such as BeachHuts.com, Britain’s Finest, Monasteries.com, UniversityRooms.com, and FishPal.
