Why Harbour Group Acquired Symmons

Harbour Group announced that Symmons Industries and Symmons Connected are now part of the Harbour Group family of companies. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Symmons is a manufacturer of specification-grade plumbing products. The company’s product portfolio includes shower systems, faucets, valves, accessories, and repair parts for a range of end markets.

Symmons also provides smart water management solutions for commercial building applications through its Evolution AI-First software platform.

Founded in 1939, Symmons is based in Braintree, Massachusetts. The company is led by CEO Tim O’Keeffe, a third-generation member of the ownership family.

Harbour Group said Symmons has several new product launches and growth initiatives underway.

The firm also said its support, combined with Symmons’ foundation and team, will create opportunities for employees and customers.

Symmons said Harbour Group’s experience in flow control and building products, along with its operational expertise and ability to drive complementary acquisitions, will support its strategic growth plans.

Harbour Group is a privately owned operations-focused company based in St. Louis, Missouri.

The firm’s companies operate across manufacturing and distribution in sectors including control solutions, remote monitoring, specialty fittings, diagnostic and repair tools, specialty chemicals, outdoor living products, thermal management, and other industries.

Since its founding in 1976, Harbour Group has acquired 236 companies across 51 industries.
