Why Packsize Is Acquiring Panotec’s Packaging Business

By Amit Chowdhry ● Jul 1, 2026

Packsize announced that it has completed an agreement to acquire the packaging business of Panotec, an Italian manufacturer of right-sized packaging machines. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The deal will expand Packsize’s machine portfolio and increase its installed customer base across more than 50 countries in North America, Europe, and other markets.

Panotec manufactures high- and low-automation right-sized packaging machines for logistics departments, e-commerce companies, and other businesses.

Packsize said the acquisition strengthens its ability to offer customers more flexibility and choice as they seek to optimize packaging operations, reduce waste, and lower costs.

The acquisition also brings together teams focused on the future of right-sized packaging.

The deal follows Packsize’s April 2025 acquisition of Sparck Technologies.

That acquisition combined Packsize’s technology and service model with Sparck’s fit-to-size box systems, box-last solutions, and lid-and-tray solutions.

Packsize said the Panotec acquisition further strengthens its core technology capabilities and positions the company to deliver more scalable and efficient right-sized packaging solutions.

The company expects the combination to broaden its global capabilities while supporting quality and service for its expanding customer base.

The transaction is expected to close after satisfaction of customary closing conditions, including applicable regulatory approvals and completion of the required consultation process with applicable unions.

Packsize is a provider of sustainable, right-sized, on-demand packaging solutions.

The company introduced Right-sized Packaging on Demand in 2002 and serves customers across North America and Europe.

Panotec has spent nearly 40 years designing and producing custom packaging solutions from Italy for logistics and e-commerce customers worldwide.
