SolarWinds (NYSE:SWI), a company that is known as being a provider of affordable IT management software, announced recently that it signed a definitive agreement to buy SentryOne. SentryOne is a leading technology provider of database performance monitoring and DataOps solutions on SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and the Microsoft Data Platform.

And over the past 16 years, SentryOne has built a strong portfolio guided by a customer-centric model well-aligned to SolarWinds’ mission and commitment to the IT professional community. The SentryOne product line complements the on-premises and cloud-native database management offerings SolarWinds has today to serve the needs of the mid-market and better serve larger organizations.

SolarWinds’ addition of SentryOne products to its portfolio is going to amplify the depth and breadth of support that the company can offer for Microsoft and Microsoft Azure environments.

The deal is expected to close later this month.
