Willkie Farr & Gallagher has added Matthew Penny as an energy and infrastructure partner based in Houston and Dallas, strengthening the firm’s capabilities around development, construction and Engineering, Procurement and Construction matters.
Penny’s practice includes data centers and other large-scale infrastructure projects.
He advises on power generation across fossil fuel, nuclear and renewable projects, energy storage, transmission, data centers, liquefied natural gas and traditional oil and gas assets.
His clients include developers, investors, lenders, manufacturers and end users, including hyperscalers.
Penny’s work covers contracting structures, supply chain optimization and project financing.
He also brings a background in construction litigation and contract management, including nearly a decade of experience at an oil major.
Penny joins Willkie from a prominent national law firm and becomes the latest addition to the firm’s cross-office energy, project finance, infrastructure and data center team.
