Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP has added private equity partner Payom M. Pirahesh to its Los Angeles office, continuing the firm’s push to expand private equity capabilities across its platform.
Pirahesh joins Willkie’s Private Equity Practice Group and brings experience advising private equity funds, asset managers, portfolio companies, and other market participants on complex corporate transactions. His practice spans a wide range of deal structures, including acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, sales, carve outs, joint ventures, co investments, minority investments, dividend recapitalizations, and corporate governance matters.
He has worked on transactions across several sectors, including technology, media and entertainment, live events, consumer and retail, financial services, construction services, and professional services. In addition to M&A work, Pirahesh also advises private equity sponsors and senior executives on employment arrangements and incentive compensation, including management incentive plans and sale bonus plans.
Before joining Willkie, Pirahesh was a partner at Sidley. At Willkie, he will be based in Los Angeles and is expected to support the firm’s private equity work locally and across the broader platform.
