Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP has strengthened its Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group with the addition of Heather Weigel as a partner in New York. The appointment marks a significant strategic expansion for the firm as deal activity accelerates and transactions grow more complex across U.S. and international markets.
Heather brings considerable experience advising domestic and global clients on public and private company transactions encompassing investments, carve-outs, spin-offs, joint ventures, and broader corporate and restructuring matters. Her background includes a deep involvement in U.S. public company mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and the successful navigation of cross-border and domestic transactions in sectors such as oil and gas, consumer products, retail, and financial services. She also counsels clients in the fintech and media sectors. She has extensive experience supporting private equity firms and portfolio companies across the full transaction lifecycle, including acquisitions, dispositions, leveraged buyouts, and minority investments. She joins Willkie from Davis Polk.
The firm noted that her arrival further reinforces Willkie’s commitment to expanding its premier global platform. With attorneys operating across 16 key markets in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe, Willkie’s M&A practice advises public and private companies, special committees, investors, and financial advisors on high-impact transactions worldwide.
