Willkie Farr & Gallagher announced that Benoit Champon had joined the firm as a partner in its London office, where he will be a key part of the Asset Management Department. Champon’s practice focuses on fund formation, with a specific emphasis on secondaries funds and transactions.
Champon brings extensive experience to Willkie’s global private funds team, having advised on the formation and raising of various alternative investment funds, including private equity, real estate, and venture capital. He has also worked on both the buyer and seller sides of secondaries transactions. And his background includes working at international law firms across Europe and Asia, as well as serving as in-house counsel for asset managers in Paris and London.
This appointment further strengthens Willkie’s Private Funds practice group, which consists of more than 25 partners across its global offices.
