Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP announced that data privacy attorney Briony Pollard has joined the firm as a partner. She is based in the firm’s London office and is part of Willkie’s Privacy, Cybersecurity & Data Strategy practice group.
Briony focuses her practice on the data protection and privacy aspects of corporate, M&A, and private equity transactions. She also advises clients on intellectual property procurement, licensing and litigation, information governance and data protection, advertising regulation, and other general commercial matters.
Briony advised on transactions across a wide range of sectors, including technology, media and telecommunications (TMT), life sciences, financial services, retail and consumer goods, travel, entertainment, and sports. And she was previously counsel at Weil, Gotshal & Manges.
Briony’s arrival follows the addition of leading privacy and data strategy partner Susan Rohol, former Warner Bros. Discovery Chief Privacy Officer – who joined Willkie in September.
