WilmerHale has appointed Jeremy Kosky as head of its Disputes Practice in London, adding an international commercial litigator with more than 30 years of experience.
Kosky’s appointment follows the recent addition of international arbitration partner Charlie Lightfoot and represents another expansion of WilmerHale’s disputes capabilities in the UK.
The firm’s London office has operated for more than 40 years and advises clients across international arbitration, white-collar investigations, intellectual property, competition and other cross-border matters.
Under Kosky’s leadership, the London Commercial Disputes Practice will focus on high-value and complex commercial litigation for public and private companies, private capital sponsors, financial institutions, family offices and corporate boards.
His arrival is also intended to strengthen coordination between the firm’s English litigation capabilities and its broader disputes teams across the U.S., Brussels, Germany and other jurisdictions.
Kosky has handled high-stakes international commercial litigation that has proceeded to trial in England, France, Italy and Luxembourg.
His experience also extends to Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands and the Channel Islands.
Kosky joins from another international law firm, where he focused on cross-border disputes and crisis advisory work for private capital sponsors, corporate boards and family offices.
He led that firm’s London commercial litigation team for nearly a decade and served on its global financial investors committee.
Kosky has been ranked by Chambers UK for 18 consecutive years, including individual recognition in Commercial and Corporate Litigation and Private Wealth Disputes.
He earned an LLB from Manchester University and an LLM from Nottingham Law School.
