Wind Point Partners has closed its eleventh private equity fund with $3.2 billion in total commitments. The oversubscribed fund exceeded its hard cap and represents the largest fund in Wind Point’s 42-year history.
The total includes significant commitments from the general partner and members of Wind Point’s Executive Advisor Partner program.
More than 65 institutions across 17 countries committed capital, including pension funds, insurers, asset managers, family offices and foundations.
The fundraising process was completed in less than nine months and received substantial repeat support from existing investors.
Wind Point added more than 20 new institutional investors, including participants from private wealth channels.
The firm invests in middle-market businesses across business services, industrial products and consumer products.
Since its founding in 1984, Wind Point has completed more than 90 platform investments and 400 add-on acquisitions.
Its Executive Advisor Partner program includes more than 40 senior industry executives who work with portfolio companies and investment teams.
Fund XI has already completed two investments.
Kirkland & Ellis served as fund counsel. Falcom Asset Management, POLARIS Investment Advisory and Thrive Alternatives Capital Advisory acted as placement advisers.
