Strachan brings more than two decades of experience across maritime, trade, and data analytics industries, with a track record of building and scaling global information services businesses. He previously held senior leadership roles at S&P Global and IHS Markit, where he led maritime, trade, and supply chain business lines serving governments, traders, shippers, financial institutions, and other commercial stakeholders managing risk, compliance, and operational complexity across global trade flows. Earlier in his career, Strachan led strategic marketing at Jane’s, a provider of open-source intelligence data and analysis for militaries, governments, and defense organizations.
He has been a member of Windward’s board and now steps into the chairman role as the company enters its next phase of growth.
