Wingspire Equipment Finance Provides $22 Million Financing To Utility Services Platform

Wingspire Equipment Finance has successfully completed a substantial $22 million equipment financing transaction with a sponsor-backed platform specializing in utility services. This platform provides a range of critical services, including vegetation management, right-of-way clearing, emergency storm response, and infrastructure maintenance, all essential to ensuring the reliability and safety of utility operations.

The financing was structured as a First Amendment Lease, which provided a strategic funding method while maintaining the flexibility the utility services platform needed for its operations. The capital raised has been allocated to acquire an array of equipment, specifically bucket trucks and specialized utility and forestry machinery. These assets are integral to the company’s field operations, enabling efficient and effective management of vegetation and utility infrastructure.

Importantly, the assets funded through this transaction were acquired and placed into service in the fourth quarter of 2025. Afterward, Wingspire converted the initial investments into longer-term financing solutions. This move was intentionally aligned with the equipment’s expected useful lives, allowing the utility services platform to optimize its financial resources over time.

The design of this transaction was multifaceted, aiming to enhance liquidity for the utility services platform, diversify its sources of capital, and ultimately preserve the capital necessary for ongoing operations and future strategic initiatives. By securing this financing, the company is better equipped to face operational demands and invest in growth opportunities.

Wingspire Equipment Finance specializes in arranging significant equipment financing for middle-market entities and private equity-backed companies.
