Winston & Strawn announced that Patrick Valenti has joined the firm’s Chicago office as a partner in its Transactions Department and as a member of the Private Investment Funds Practice.
Valenti advises private equity sponsors on the formation, fundraising, and operations of private investment funds, with a focus on middle-market funds ranging from $250 million to $3 billion. His practice spans operational, management, and transactional matters across all facets of a sponsor’s business, including fund-related aspects of private equity transactions, co-investments, secondary transactions such as continuation funds and other GP-led liquidity solutions, regulatory and compliance matters, investor relations, upper-tier arrangements, succession planning, and asset management transactions, including GP stakes deals. He also has significant experience advising emerging managers, first-time fund sponsors, and independent sponsors in building their firms from inception.
The addition of Valenti follows the recent appointment of Transactions partner David Love in Chicago earlier this month and continues a broader series of senior hires across the department in 2025, reinforcing the firm’s investment in its private equity and funds capabilities.
