Wiser Solutions has appointed Rick Buffington as Chief Financial Officer as the company advances its AI-powered competitive intelligence platform and prepares for its next phase of growth.
Buffington will lead Wiser’s global finance organization and serve as a strategic partner to CEO Michael Richards and the company’s executive leadership team. His priorities will include strengthening financial and operational performance, supporting investments in technology and go-to-market capabilities, and building the financial infrastructure required to support long-term expansion.
Buffington brings experience across enterprise software and technology businesses. Most recently, he held a senior finance leadership role at MultiTracks.com, where he helped guide the company through a period of significant expansion and organizational change.
His earlier experience includes leadership roles at Accruent and Community Brands, where he focused on scaling software businesses, developing finance organizations, and improving operational performance.
The appointment comes after what Wiser described as a comprehensive business transformation over the past year. The company said the effort strengthened its operating foundation, improved efficiency, and sharpened its strategic focus.
Wiser is now accelerating development of its next-generation competitive intelligence platform, which combines global data infrastructure with increasingly sophisticated artificial intelligence capabilities.
The company provides brands and retailers with intelligence across pricing, promotions, shipping, product availability, ratings, reviews, and market execution. Its platform is designed to help customers understand competitive conditions and respond more quickly to changes in the market.
