WRITER Launches Event-Based Triggers To Enable Autonomous Enterprise AI Agents

WRITER, an enterprise AI agent platform trusted by Fortune 500 companies globally, has launched event-based triggers for WRITER Agent, enabling enterprises to automate complex workflows across their entire technology stack without any manual initiation required. The update represents what WRITER describes as a fundamental shift in how enterprises deploy AI agents — moving from systems that require employees to initiate every workflow to agents that listen for real-world business signals and act autonomously. WRITER Agent can now respond to triggers across Gmail, Gong, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Microsoft SharePoint, Slack, and more, automatically initiating research, generating deliverables, updating systems, and orchestrating handoffs.

The release also introduces new enterprise connectors, including Adobe Experience Manager, which gives marketing teams direct read and write access to pages, fragments, and digital assets in Adobe’s enterprise content management system. Combined with a new Google Drive connector, WRITER Agent can now operate autonomously across the folders, documents, and publishing systems that marketing, research, and creative teams use daily. The Adobe Experience Manager integration in particular closes what WRITER describes as the last mile between AI-generated content and published, brand-compliant output — enabling teams to go from brief to published assets without leaving their AI workflow.

Alongside the new triggers and connectors, WRITER introduced an extended suite of governance controls specifically designed for regulated enterprises deploying autonomous agents in third-party environments. New capabilities include Connector Profiles for configuring multiple versions of the same connector with different permissions per team, WRITER Agent Profiles for deploying customized versions of the agent with capability toggles and security settings, AI Studio Observability for auditable event tracking across every agent interaction, a Datadog Logs Plugin for forwarding LLM request and response data as structured log events, and Bring-Your-Own Encryption Key support for customer-controlled data encryption via AWS, Azure, or GCP.

WRITER says the governance controls are not optional extras but the essential preconditions for enterprise-scale agent deployment, particularly in regulated industries where CIOs and CISOs need visibility into exactly what agents are doing across third-party systems. The platform is designed to allow organizations to encode their unique workflows, brand voice, and governance requirements directly into agent behavior rather than adapting their processes to generic AI tools. Event-based triggers, the new connectors, and enhanced governance controls are available immediately to WRITER enterprise customers.

KEY QUOTES:

“Event-based triggers represent a fundamental shift in how enterprises deploy AI agents. Instead of employees initiating every workflow, the platform recognizes the moments that matter and acts autonomously. When your sales call ends, when your content deadline approaches, when your customer sends feedback — WRITER Agent is already moving. That’s the difference between an AI assistant and an AI teammate that understands your operations.”
