WRITER has appointed Mina Alaghband as its first Chief Customer Officer, bringing on a veteran of large-scale digital and AI transformation programs to lead global customer operations as enterprise demand grows for agentic platforms that can deliver measurable ROI at scale.
Alaghband will oversee WRITER’s customer-facing teams spanning professional services, forward-deployed engineering, AI adoption, and transformation directors, with a mandate to help enterprise customers move from pilots to production deployments and embed AI agents into day-to-day workflows. The company said the expanded leadership reflects rising urgency among large organizations to operationalize agentic AI in a way that is reliable in production, compliant, and tied to business outcomes.
WRITER positions its platform as a full-stack approach to deploying and supervising AI agents grounded in a customer’s data and powered by enterprise-grade language models. The company says this model pairs technology with hands-on delivery to accelerate adoption and ensure agents perform in real-world environments, where issues such as governance, security, and workflow integration can derail implementations.
Before joining WRITER, Alaghband was a Partner at McKinsey & Company, where she led digital and AI transformations for Fortune 100 technology companies across the U.S. and Europe. Within McKinsey’s Technology, Media, and Telecommunications practice, she worked with senior commercial leaders, including CEOs, CROs, and CMOs, on growth and operating model initiatives inside complex enterprises. Earlier in her career, she served as VP of Customer Success at CrowdFlower, later known as Appen, and held roles at Box including Chief of Staff and Head of Sales Strategy and Execution.
WRITER said its customer organization plays a central role in adoption, noting that it supports nearly one-third of the Fortune 500. The company also highlighted recent additions to its customer roster, including Aptitude Health, e.l.f. Beauty, Keurig-Dr Pepper, New American Funding, and TikTok, alongside existing customers such as Vanguard, Uber, Marriott, and Prudential.
The appointment comes as WRITER continues to emphasize external validation and enterprise readiness for its agentic capabilities. The company said it was recently named a Gartner Cool Vendor in both AI Agent Development and Digital Workplace Applications, and cited multiple Leader designations across 2025 Gartner Emerging Market Quadrants covering generative AI model providers, generative AI engineering, and AI knowledge management.
Alaghband holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, a master’s degree in Technology and Environment from Stanford’s School of Education, and a master’s degree with honour from Yale in Military History, according to the company.
Founded in 2020, WRITER says its platform helps enterprises build, activate, and supervise AI agents to transform core business processes, from product launches and financial research to clinical trial workflows. The company is backed by investors including Premji Invest, Radical Ventures, ICONIQ Growth, Insight Partners, Balderton, B Capital, Salesforce Ventures, Adobe Ventures, Citi Ventures, IBM Ventures, and WndrCo, among others.
KEY QUOTES:
“AI transformation lives or dies in customer success. Alongside our powerful, purpose-built technology, that’s always been WRITER’s core strength – working side-by-side with leaders to redesign how their organizations operate, unleash human potential, and drive real ROI. Bringing Mina on board is a testament to that commitment. It reflects exactly where WRITER is going and the kind of transformation we’re helping our customers achieve.”
May Habib, CEO and Co-Founder, WRITER
“WRITER’s DNA is customer-obsessed, and that focus is what drives momentum and customer adoption ahead of the market. Executives are inundated with stories of AI deployments that fail to scale – agents falling short in production, compliance breaking down, and ROI never materializing. This is not the case at WRITER. Its full-stack platform and hands-on delivery methodology bends the odds for its enterprise customers. My role is to empower everyone in the enterprise, from the CEO to the copywriter or sales rep, with the superpowers of the WRITER platform.”
Mina Alaghband, Chief Customer Officer, WRITER
