Xactus, a fintech and market leader in verification solutions across financial services, has acquired Baleen Solutions, a technology provider focused on automated self-employed income analysis.
The deal is designed to strengthen Xactus360’s Intelligent Verification Platform by integrating Baleen’s capabilities into a new offering, Income CalculationX, to help organizations evaluate complex income scenarios faster, more consistently, and with greater confidence.
The acquisition comes as borrower income profiles become more complex and increasingly multi-source, elevating demand for income analysis that is efficient, transparent, and scalable. Xactus said the combination is intended to reduce manual effort in self-employed income review while improving documentation, transparency, and workflow efficiency.
Baleen’s proprietary technology automates income analysis by extracting and organizing data from tax documents quickly and accurately. Once integrated into Xactus360, Income CalculationX will apply Baleen’s automated income analysis and machine-driven document recognition to process tax documents without human involvement, creating a fully auditable workflow between loan originators and underwriters while improving consistency and operational efficiency.
Xactus also highlighted Baleen’s prior collaboration with Fannie Mae, positioning the integration as a step toward making income calculation more accessible and efficient for lenders. The company framed the transaction as part of a broader strategy to consolidate specialized verification technologies into a single configurable platform, replacing fragmented processes with connected, data-driven verification workflows that can adapt to borrower complexity and shifting market conditions.
Baleen Solutions serves lenders, tax professionals, and wealth management organizations, using machine vision and data processing to deliver auditable income insights intended to support confident decision-making. Xactus said it will continue expanding its verification capabilities across employment and income through the Xactus360 platform as it modernizes verification across financial services.
