ABN AMRO is providing €28 million in senior debt financing to Dutch semiconductor company XIVER as part of a €55 million investment program designed to expand manufacturing capacity and technological capabilities.
Eindhoven-based XIVER develops and manufactures integrated photonic chips, infrared sensor technologies, medical imaging technologies and advanced thin-film products.
The investment program will support upgrades to XIVER’s manufacturing facilities and equipment base.
One of the largest investments is the acquisition of an ASML deep ultraviolet lithography system, which the company expects to strengthen its production capacity and technical capabilities.
XIVER was carved out of Philips at the High Tech Campus Eindhoven and acquired by Dutch investors in early 2025.
Since the transaction, the company has expanded its operations and built relationships with a growing group of international customers.
The new production capacity is intended to meet increasing demand for semiconductor and photonics technologies driven by markets including artificial intelligence, defense and other strategic technology applications.
ABN AMRO said the financing aligns with its strategy of supporting European companies operating in strategically important sectors including technology, energy, defense and mobility.
