XKIG Acquires Wilderness Land Management To Expand Midwest Infrastructure Services

XKIG acquired Wilderness Land Management, an Iowa-based utility vegetation management and rights-of-way contractor. Wilderness Land Management will effectively merge with XKIG’s Kendall Vegetation Services operating unit.

The transaction expands Kendall’s vegetation management capabilities while establishing a stronger operating presence in Iowa and neighboring states.

Wilderness Land Management provides vegetation management, rights-of-way clearing, land clearing, forestry mulching, mowing, and related services.

Its utility work includes electrical and pipeline rights-of-way, storm and emergency response, chemical vegetation management, and tree removal.

The company is based in Burlington, Iowa.

XKIG provides critical infrastructure services for power and gas utilities across the United States.

Its portfolio companies support rights-of-way development and maintenance, utility transmission and distribution systems, vegetation management, disaster response, and restoration.

XKIG plans to provide additional resources and expertise to support Wilderness Land Management’s continued growth while preserving its existing operating strengths.
