YA Group, a building consulting and forensic engineering firm, has acquired InQuis Global, a multi-service expert witness and litigation consulting company focused on life care planning, life expectancy consulting, vocational rehabilitation, wage loss analysis, and related support services.

YA said the deal expands its ability to deliver a more integrated litigation advisory offering for law firms and insurance carriers, combining technical work such as accident reconstruction and biomechanics with services that assess employability and quantify long-term economic impacts tied to injury claims.

Richard A. Dethlefs, president of YA’s Engineering Services business, said the addition of InQuis advances YA’s strategy to build a broader forensic engineering and consulting platform and enables coordinated multidisciplinary support in complex accident-related matters. InQuis founder and general counsel Jud Wooddy said the combination will allow InQuis to scale while maintaining its focus on technical quality and client service.

The transaction closed on December 22, 2025, and financial terms were not disclosed. YA noted the acquisition follows its October 2024 investment from THL Partners.

YA Group said it has more than 25 years of experience providing technical consulting across the built environment, government grant consulting, and accident-related forensic services for insurance, government, legal, and corporate clients.
