Yardstik Raises $30 Million Series B As Revenue Grows 149% And Total Funding Reaches $65 Million

Yardstik has raised $30 million in Series B financing to expand its workforce fraud prevention, background screening and continuous monitoring platform as the company reports 149% year-over-year revenue growth. Harbert Growth Partners led the financing, with existing investors Rally Ventures, MissionOG, Crosslink Capital, Grotech Ventures and Great North Ventures participating. The round brings Yardstik’s total capital raised to $65 million.

Yardstik plans to use the financing to accelerate development of fraud prevention and workforce monitoring capabilities, including motor vehicle report monitoring, Office of Inspector General exclusion monitoring and automated alerts when an employee’s license, insurance or professional certification expires.

The company is positioning its Human Trust Platform as an alternative to the traditional approach of conducting a background check primarily when an employee is hired.

Yardstik combines fraud detection, background screening and continuous monitoring across a worker’s employment lifecycle, allowing companies to identify potential changes in risk after the initial hiring process.

The company cited research showing that the typical occupational fraud scheme continues for 12 months before detection and that 43% of cases are uncovered through tips.

Yardstik recently made its Fraud Insights and Continuous Monitoring capabilities standard for customers at no additional cost.

Fraud Insights provides employers with an aggregated view of workforce fraud signals, while Continuous Monitoring automatically enrolls screened workers in post-hire monitoring. The technology is designed to reduce manual rechecks and identify changes such as expired credentials closer to when they occur.

Along with 149% revenue growth, Yardstik reported a 98% account retention rate over the past three years and a 99.4% customer satisfaction rating.

Its customers span gig marketplaces, staffing, healthcare, transportation, logistics and childcare, with companies including Gopuff, Liveops, Sharetown, TaskRabbit and HUNGRY using its technology.

Yardstik was also ranked No. 861 on the 2026 Inc. 5000.

The platform integrates with HR and applicant tracking systems including Greenhouse, Lever, Workable, Fountain, Bullhorn, Avionté and Paylocity.

Yardstik’s API-first infrastructure also enables marketplaces and technology companies to embed and white-label its identity verification, fraud prevention, screening and monitoring capabilities.

KEY QUOTES:

“The legacy background check industry was built around a single moment in time, even though workforce risk changes every day. This investment allows us to move faster toward our goal of equalizing access to modern workforce protection. Fraud signals before a check runs, monitoring after someone is hired and real-time credential visibility should not be premium add-ons. They should be the foundation of every trust program.”

Andrew Johnson, CEO Of Yardstik

“Yardstik’s growth shows employers want a way to manage risk that doesn’t stop the day someone’s hired. Its 98% account retention rate over the past three years shows that customers continue to see value in the layered protection they provide beyond the background checks at hire.”
