YCharts has appointed fintech marketing veteran Steve Bendt as Chief Marketing Officer, bringing in an executive with nearly three decades of experience as the investment research and client engagement platform looks to accelerate growth across advisor, enterprise and asset manager markets. Bendt will lead YCharts’ global marketing organization and report directly to CEO Sean Brown.
His responsibilities will include brand strategy, demand generation and go-to-market execution across the company’s registered investment advisor, enterprise and asset management businesses.
Bendt brings nearly 30 years of marketing experience, including previous Chief Marketing Officer roles at investment research and fintech companies.
YCharts said his background includes building and scaling marketing organizations inside high-growth financial data and investment research businesses.
The appointment comes as YCharts continues to invest in new products and expand the range of tools it provides to financial professionals.
The company recently introduced Y, a specialized AI agent designed to support investment research and advisor workflows.
YCharts also offers tools spanning security research, portfolio construction, AI-enabled proposals, client communications and market monitoring.
The company is used by more than 15,000 financial professionals.
Management sees Bendt’s combination of industry experience and growth marketing expertise as particularly relevant as YCharts works to expand adoption of its broader platform.
YCharts has also been increasing its visibility across the wealth management technology market.
The company was named a Software All-Star across five categories in the 2026 T3 / Inside Information Technology Survey.
It also received a 2025 Wealthie Award for its AI Chat feature.
YCharts has appeared on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies 10 consecutive times.
The company is positioning its AI capabilities as part of a broader effort to make investment research and client engagement more efficient for advisors and asset managers.
Bendt’s appointment gives YCharts an executive with direct experience marketing similar financial technology and research platforms as the company attempts to convert product momentum into broader market expansion.
Based in Seattle, Bendt officially joined YCharts on August 11, 2026.
