Accenture made a strategic investment in YearOne, which offers a data-driven software engineering platform to help organizations speed up digital product development using AI-powered insights, coaching, and performance optimization.
The platform combines insights from various tools into a unified system, revealing hidden patterns, bottlenecks, and productivity gaps, and providing tailored recommendations. It also helps teams balance deep work, meetings, and delivery focus by addressing workload fragmentation and skill gaps.
Accenture Song utilizes YearOne to benchmark engineering performance and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, including the adoption of AI tools and addressing skill gaps.
YearOne will join Accenture Ventures’ Project Spotlight, supporting startups in data and AI with access to Accenture’s expertise and clients to scale faster.
KEY QUOTES:
“AI-driven visibility is essential for modern engineering teams. It’s not just about making software development more efficient; it’s about empowering teams to learn and grow by providing clear insights. YearOne’s platform can provide organizations with the clarity needed to develop innovative capabilities and strategic vision to move forward with confidence and purpose.”
Tom Lounibos, global lead for Accenture Ventures
“AI is flooding the stack with shortcuts and surface-level output. The challenge businesses face today isn’t speed—it’s precision. It’s preserving engineering craft in a world that’s optimizing faster than it’s understanding. We see engineering organizations that are rich in signal—but buried in noise. Through our platform, we aim to provide teams the clarity and control to turn that chaos into leverage.”
Stephen Ajayi, founder and CEO of YearOne
“The platform can simultaneously improve digital product software development while also upskilling teams—helping people deliver faster and more accurately. This is the collaborative nature of humans and AI that we envision will benefit talent and innovation.”
