Yolando: $8.5 Million Raised From Drive Capital To Launch GEO And Competitive Intelligence Platform

By Amit Chowdhry ● Jan 26, 2026

Yolando, a Toronto-based competitive intelligence and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) platform, said it has officially launched commercially after raising $8.5 million in total cumulative funding from Drive Capital. The company positions its software as a way for marketing teams to measure and improve how their brands appear in AI-generated answers, alongside traditional search visibility.

The launch comes as more buyers begin their research inside large language model tools rather than through websites, ads, or conventional search results. Yolando is built around the idea that AI-generated recommendations increasingly shape which vendors make shortlists, influencing outcomes for organizations ranging from B2B software providers to service businesses where reputation and discoverability drive revenue.

Yolando’s product combines continuous competitor tracking with recommendations and brand-aligned content creation intended to help teams respond quickly when rivals gain visibility, sentiment shifts, or content gaps keep a brand out of AI responses. The company says it monitors visibility and competitive positioning across major AI platforms, including ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini, and is designed to support use cases across B2B SaaS, services, consumer brands, retail, and Shopify ecommerce.

Founder and CEO Matt Bogoroch said Yolando was created after his team experienced the shift in buyer behavior firsthand. Bogoroch also leads BirdseyePost, a marketing software company that developed Yolando internally before making it available to external customers. Yolando says that in BirdseyePost’s usage, leads attributed to ChatGPT converted at higher value and faster cycle times than other acquisition channels, and that the shared operating environment helps the product evolve based on ongoing real-world go-to-market demands.

The company also differentiates its approach within the fast-growing GEO category by emphasizing execution rather than analytics alone. Yolando says its system pairs competitive intelligence with content generation so marketers can move from insight to publish-ready work more quickly, using recommendations that map competitor activity and prompt-level visibility changes into specific actions.

On the technology side, Yolando says it is built on a proprietary model trained on millions of webpages to identify patterns associated with AI citation and recommendation behavior. The platform also orchestrates more than 40 specialized agents across functions such as research, competitive analysis, fact-checking, and formatting to produce publication-ready content in minutes, with feedback loops intended to improve performance over time.

KEY QUOTES

“Before a prospect ever visits your website, they’ve already asked ChatGPT who to trust. If you’re not in that answer, you’re not in the conversation. Yolando makes sure you are.”

“Most tools in this space tell you that you’re losing,” said Bogoroch. “They show you charts and rankings and sentiment scores, but leave you to figure out what to do about it. We built Yolando to close that loop, to show you what competitors are doing, tell you exactly how to beat them, and help you execute in minutes, not weeks.”

“Traditional AI-generated content often just parrots existing sources, which means it gets ignored by the very models it’s trying to influence,” said Shardul Frey, Co-Founder & CTO. “We trained our system to identify patterns that actually drive LLM citation behavior, so every piece of content Yolando generates introduces something genuinely new to the conversation.”
