Yorkville America Equities: Truth Social Funds Completes Acquisition Of Point Bridge America First ETF Under MAGA Ticker

Yorkville America Equities has completed the acquisition and reorganization of the Point Bridge America First ETF into the Truth Social Funds family. The fund has been renamed the Truth Social America First ETF and will continue trading on NYSE Arca under the ticker symbol MAGA.

Yorkville America serves as the sponsor and investment adviser for the Truth Social Funds platform. Point Bridge Capital will remain involved as the fund’s sub-adviser, while founder Hal Lambert will continue serving as portfolio manager.

The companies said the structure is intended to maintain continuity for current shareholders while bringing the ETF under the broader Truth Social Funds brand.

Point Bridge Capital originally launched the America First ETF in 2017. The fund was designed to give investors exposure to U.S.-listed companies selected through a politically oriented screening methodology.

The Truth Social America First ETF uses a rules-based process that evaluates the historical campaign contributions of employees and political action committees associated with publicly traded companies.

The strategy seeks to identify U.S.-listed businesses whose employees and political action committees have directed a greater share of their contributions toward Republican candidates and causes.

Rather than selecting holdings based solely on conventional measures such as revenue growth, profitability, valuation or dividend yield, the fund incorporates political contribution data into its investment process.

Yorkville America said the product is intended for investors who want their portfolios to reflect their views regarding American economic and political leadership. The fund will operate as an index-tracking ETF with an expense ratio of 0.72%.

An exchange-traded fund holds a portfolio of securities and trades throughout the day on a stock exchange. Investors can purchase or sell ETF shares through brokerage accounts in a manner similar to individual stocks. And a rules-based ETF follows a defined methodology for selecting and weighting securities. This differs from a traditional actively managed fund in which a portfolio manager may make discretionary investment decisions based on market conditions, company research or other factors.

Although Lambert will remain the portfolio manager and Point Bridge Capital will continue as the sub-adviser, the fund’s investment decisions will continue to be guided by its established screening and index methodology.

The acquisition expands the Truth Social Funds platform to seven investment products.

The Truth Social America First ETF joins five index-tracking Truth Social ETFs and the Truth Social God Bless America ETF, which trades under the ticker symbol YALL.

Yorkville America is positioning the expanded lineup as a platform for investors seeking investment strategies organized around an America First theme.

The company did not disclose the financial terms of the acquisition or provide information on the fund’s assets under management at the time of the transaction.

The reorganization does not appear to involve a major change in the fund’s underlying investment philosophy. Point Bridge Capital will continue supporting the strategy, and Lambert will remain responsible for portfolio management.

That continuity may be important for existing shareholders who originally invested based on the Point Bridge fund’s historical methodology and political screening criteria.

Yorkville America said Point Bridge Capital’s experience managing the fund since 2017 aligns with the objectives of the Truth Social Funds platform.

The transaction also gives the ETF access to Yorkville America’s broader branding, distribution and product platform. That could help introduce the strategy to additional individual investors and financial advisers interested in politically themed investment products.

Politically oriented ETFs represent a specialized part of the broader investment market. These funds may screen companies based on political contributions, corporate policies, lobbying activity, executive statements or other criteria connected to ideological preferences.

Such products allow investors to express values or political views through their investment allocations. However, political alignment does not guarantee stronger financial performance, and the screening process may exclude companies that otherwise meet an investor’s conventional financial criteria.

Yorkville America is a Florida-based asset manager focused on branded investment products connected to America First themes. And the company said the completed transaction represents a milestone in the expansion of its Truth Social Funds platform and strengthens its ability to offer a wider range of politically aligned strategies.
