Zayo, a leading digital infrastructure provider, has completed its acquisition of Crown Castle’s Fiber Solutions business, adding approximately 90,000 metro-dense route miles and 40,000 on-net enterprise locations to its network. The transaction marks Zayo’s 50th and largest acquisition to date, bringing the company’s total network to 224,000 route miles across North America.

The acquisition is part of a broader $8.5 billion combined transaction that also includes EQT Active Core Infrastructure’s independent acquisition of Crown Castle’s Small Cells business, now operating as Arium Networks. Concurrent with the acquisitions, Zayo and Arium Networks have entered into a long-term commercial agreement for Zayo to provide fiber to Arium Networks.

The addition of Crown Castle’s assets strengthens Zayo’s ability to serve the growing connectivity demands of AI, cloud, and enterprise platforms by combining national long-haul scale with dense metro reach in key U.S. markets. Zayo has invested more than $35 billion to develop its fiber network.

Support: PJT Partners, J.P. Morgan, and UBS Investment Bank served as financial advisors and Simpson, Thacher and Bartlett served as legal advisor to Zayo.
