Zeeco, a Tulsa, Oklahoma-based provider of combustion and environmental solutions, has acquired Devco Process Heaters, a fired-heater design and technology company, in a move aimed at expanding Zeeco’s footprint in the U.S. midstream oil and gas market.
The transaction, finalized on December 5, 2025, included Devco’s brand, products, and technical expertise. Zeeco said all former Devco employees, including owner Jeff Hutsell, have joined Zeeco in new and expanded roles.
Zeeco said the acquisition broadens its ability to serve as a single-source provider across combustion equipment and related services, including installation, field service, construction, aftermarket support, and manufacturing. The company also positioned the deal as a way to accelerate delivery timelines and provide more cost-effective, end-to-end combustion equipment solutions through its company-owned manufacturing facilities.
Founded in 2005, Devco has spent more than two decades designing and manufacturing direct and indirect fired heaters, along with thermal oxidizers, electric heater packages, and auxiliary equipment. The company’s equipment has been used in applications spanning midstream operations as well as petrochemical, aircraft testing labs, food processing, and other industrial markets, with more than 200 installations worldwide.
Zeeco, founded in 1979, said it employs more than 3,000 people across more than 30 global locations and executes thousands of projects annually across refining, petrochemical, LNG, power, pharmaceutical, biogas, and other sectors. The company’s product portfolio includes ultra-low-NOx burners, flare systems, thermal oxidizers, vapor control, rentals, aftermarket solutions, field services, combustion electronics, and now process heaters as an expanded in-house capability.
